Azure comes from the Persian lajward, the region that supplied lapis lazuli to the ancient world. It is the brightest blue in the Bower, lighter than Sapphire Sass.

Watch it run cobalt, cerulean and sky, catching like sun on shallow water. The drop is bright and clean, the warmth radiant.

Pure paraffin carries the blue in liquid ribbons that set smooth and gemlike over every curve. It lifts away in casts when the colour has done its work.

How to Use:

Light the candle. Once the wax starts to melt around the base of the wick, tip parallel and test the first drops on your own forearm before the canvas. Avoid inverting the candle, hold parallel to the canvas and rotate in the hand to melt wax evenly. Height controls temperature. Higher is cooler, lower is hotter. Build from there, one deliberate drop at a time.

Metallic finishes run warmer than standard paraffin, the mica in the pigment holds extra heat. Watch the wick while it burns. If it stops burning down with the candle, put it out and trim the wick before relighting.

Safety:

Formulated for wax play. Keep away from eyes, face, broken skin and hair. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick between sessions. Consent and communication before the first drop, always.

Paraffin retains heat longer than soy. Never let it pool on the skin, as pooled wax can run significantly hotter than the stated melting point and risks burns.
