Aphrodite’s first light, in wax.

Greek myth has Aphrodite rising fully formed from the sea foam off Cyprus. Seafoam keeps that pale green-blue, the shade of water just as a wave breaks white. Layer it with Turquoise Lagoon and Petrel Teal and the canvas becomes a whole coastline.

Aqua, mint and pearl wash over the canvas, iridescent as the inside of a shell. Each drop lands light and bright and breaks into a gentle warmth.

The wax runs in soft, glassy rivulets and sets with a sea-glass sheen. It lifts away in thin sheets when you’re done.

How to Use:

Light the candle. Once the wax starts to melt around the base of the wick, tip parallel and test the first drops on your own forearm before the canvas. Avoid inverting the candle, hold parallel to the canvas and rotate in the hand to melt wax evenly. Height controls temperature. Higher is cooler, lower is hotter. Build from there, one deliberate drop at a time.

Metallic finishes run warmer than standard paraffin, the mica in the pigment holds extra heat. Watch the wick while it burns. If it stops burning down with the candle, put it out and trim the wick before relighting.

Safety:

Formulated for wax play. Keep away from eyes, face, broken skin and hair. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick between sessions. Consent and communication before the first drop, always.

Paraffin retains heat longer than soy. Never let it pool on the skin, as pooled wax can run significantly hotter than the stated melting point and risks burns.
